I have been a patient of Lisa Harlan's at Core Health Pilates since fall 2022. Problems with sciatica pain and low back discomfort brought me to her. She has proven to be an excellent physical therapist who has addressed my needs very successfully all the while maintaining a kind, caring and professional manner. I rarely have trouble with my sciatic now and I continue to see Lisa for occasional treatments. Lisa is a skilled therapist who is very in tune to her patient's needs and concerns. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking an exceptional physical therapist.
I love Core Health Pilates! Before trying Core Health, I was a little (a lot?) intimidated by reformer pilates, but Lisa is thoughtful and encouraging. I started visiting her to regain strength after a back injury, and now I can't imagine my routine without Core Health. Lisa meets you where you are and cheers you on as you gain continued strength--truly a game changer.
I have been working with Lisa @ Core Health Pilates for a few months. I visited at the recommendation of my physical therapist who thought that it would be beneficial for me. I was skeptical (and anxious) at first - because I am the least flexible person in the world and dreaded being put on a machine that would 'stretch me'. Boy, was I wrong. Lisa is a great instructor and really transitioned me at a speed that was comfortable and tailored to my ability. Without a doubt, Pilates with Lisa has helped many aspects of my wellbeing. My him no longer hurts, my golf swing is better, and my posture and core strength as improved 100%. I am far from hyperflexible, but I am making real progress faster than anything else I have tried. I truly appreciate how much Lisa has helped and I look forward to even more improvements to come.
I’ve been doing Pilates for 15+ years, initially to help recovery from a back injury. I have had all sorts of instruction at many different studios and Lisa is at the top of the field. She gives precision-guided, individualized instruction with safe, healthy challenges that make sessions therapeutic, productive and fun. Highly recommended.
I came to Lisa after finding out I have a sequestered disc in my back. My chiropractor recommended I start Pilates in addition to some in office therapies. With it being my first time trying Pilates I was a little nervous. I was hoping I could get some relief from my back pain all while building muscle strength and trying to maintain some sense of physical activity since I am now super limited on what I can do. I have now fallen in love with Pilates! Lisa is such a wonderful instructor!! She has helped correct my posture which to my surprise, helped to alleviate quite a bit of my back pain. Lisa is fantastic! If you are looking for a one-on-one instructor who knows what she is doing, this is who you want!
Lisa is the best! I am an avid runner who has suffered from chronic injuries. I have struggled to gain the strength I need to make the progress I want. Ever since I started working with Lisa I am finally making progress. She has a wealth of knowledge. As a well educated physical therapist and well trained Pilates instructor, she will make sure your form is always correct and she has the best cues to help you find the right form. I didn’t even know what Pilates was when I started and now I plan to make this a permanent part of my regime.
Looking for pilates in a comfortable Covid friendly setting - go see Lisa at Core Health! She's a trained physical therapist in addition to pilates instructor and able to incorporate additional instruction and tips for optimal performance.
I love working out with Lisa because I have numerous old-lady body issues, and Lisa is both a PT and a Pilates instructor. She is patient and inventive with our work-outs, and I am happy to have found her.
